北京时间 10 月 8 日晚 21 点，美国移动支付巨头之一的 Square （NYSE：SQ）公司发布公告称，购买了大约 4709 个比特币，总投资额为 5000 万美元；截至 2020 年第二季度末，这笔投资约占 Square 总资产的 1%。
至此，Square 也成为继 MicroStrategy 之后第二家将比特币作为储备资产的美股上市公司。
此消息一出，加之昨日美股普涨，颓靡多日的 BTC 也应声上涨 2%，一度逼近 11000 美元关口；Square 公司股价上涨 1%，收涨 1.81%。
这一消息，也引得不少加密人士参与互动，币安创始人赵长鹏（CZ）、TRON 创始人孙宇晨等纷纷留言、转发。
Square 创始人兼 Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey 发文表示：“与 Square 投资 5000 万美元购买比特币相比，更重要的是分享我们是如何做到的，这样其他人也可以这样做。”
Square 的加密布局
对于加密市场不少参与者来说，Square 并非一张生面孔，此次投资比特币也在情理之中。
早在 2018 年，已是美国支付巨头的 Square 便通过旗下的应用程序「Cash APP」，支持比特币购买交易，这也为合规资金入场打开了通道。
然而，由于上线时正好碰上加密市场熊市，「Cash APP」上比特币交易也只是小打小闹，没有激起多大的水花。
这样的局面，直到 2019 年开始有所改变。特别是今年以来，随着客户需求的增长。「Cash APP」比特币交易量快速上涨。
根据 Cash App 报告，今年前两个季度共计购买了超过 11 亿美元的比特币。其中第二季度 8.75 亿美元，相较于一季度（3.06 亿美元）环比上涨 180%；与 2019 年第二季度（1.2 亿美元）相比，同比增长了近 600％。二季度比特币交易毛利润 1700 万美元，相较于一季度（670 万美元），环比增长 140%。如下所示：

除了打通比特币购买通道，2019 年 Square 还成立了一个独立团队 Square Crypto，专注于比特币开源工作。
Square Crypto 还特别关注闪电网络扩容的开发工作，资助比特币项目开发，资助名单包括但不限于：Bitcoin Core 钱包用户研究项目 Horizon、比特币社区设计师 Daniel Nordh、比特币开发者 Johns Beharry、Jon Atack、Tankred Hase 等。
今年 9 月 10 日，Square 还成立了加密货币开放专利联盟(COPA)，联盟成员必须保证将其专利免费提供给所有成员，旨在通过形成共享的专利库来扩大技术访问范围，防止专利成为区块链创新的障碍。
从产品、开发、扶持到搭建社区联盟，再到如今直接投资比特币，Square 的加密蓝图越来越大，与加密市场的羁绊也越来越深。
加密狂热爱好者：Jack Dorsey
那么作为美国两大移动支付巨头之一 Square，为何会对比特币情有独钟？这就要提到 Square 背后的大佬 Jack Dorsey。
“我们相信，比特币有潜力在未来成为一种更普遍的货币，随着它被越来越多的人接受，我们打算以一种合规的方式学习和参与。对于一家正在打造基于更具包容性的未来的产品的公司来说，这项投资是这一旅程的第一步。”Square 首席财务官 Amrita Ahuja 表示。
实际上，整个 Square 公司对比特币的推崇，都来自于创始人 Jack Dorsey。他另一个为人熟知的头衔，便是全球社交巨头 Twitter 公司 CEO（2015 年上任）。
在 Jack Dorsey 的推特首页，他给自己贴上的标签只有一个「Bitcoin」（比特币）。
Jack Dorsey 对比特币的喜爱到了什么程度？通过下面这些言论或许可见分晓：
- 我认为比特币白皮书是计算机科学在过去的20年或30年最有影响的作品之一，这是诗歌；
- 互联网是由共识驱动的，是由每个人构建的，任何人都可以改变它的进程；比特币有同样的模式，它是建立在互联网上的。任何有好想法的人都可以加入；
- 比特币是建立在互联网上的，它可能是创造的最好的数字货币；
- 比特币的潜力仍胜过后来出现的其他加密货币，比特币是互联网货币的最强竞争者；

这种对比特币的喜爱，也延伸到了 Jack Dorsey 的日常工作中，Twitter 也成为加密货币信息传播的一大重要阵地。
特别是在 Youtube 大规模封杀加密货币相关信息传播时，Twitter 始终对加密货币持开放的态度，这与 Jack Dorsey 的推动密不可分。
今年 2 月，Jack Dorsey 宣布，Twitter 用户可以将比特币符号用作表情符号，并会自动出现在“#bitcoin”或“#btc”之后。同时，他正试图推动 Unicode 联盟（互联网计算机文本和表情符号标准联盟）将其转化为 RGI（通用交换）表情符号。
顺便一提，作为加密货币「盟友」的 Jack Dorsey，在今年 2 月被推特大股东 Elliot Management 弹劾罢免时，也获得了包括 V 神在内的一众加密人士力挺。
下一个会是谁？
Square 并不是第一家将比特币作为投资标的的上市公司。
今年 7 月，纳斯达克（nasdaq）上市商业智能公司 MicroStrategy 首次披露了购买比特币以避免通胀的计划。
8 月 11 日，MicroStrategy 发布公告称，已购买 21454 枚比特币（约 2.5 亿美元）作为其资本配置战略的一部分，其也成为首家购买比特币的上市公司。、
9 月 15 日，MicroStrategy 首席执行官 Michael Saylor 发文表示，该公司 9 月 14 日再次完成了 16796 枚 BTC 的收购，价格为 1.75 亿美元。至此，该公司共购买了 38250 枚比特币，包括费用和开支在内的总花费为 4.25 亿美元。
如今，Square 也成为继 MicroStrategy 之后第二家将比特币作为储备资产的美股上市公司。
在 MicroStrategy、Square 之后，下一个会是谁？
也许只有更多的主流机构，选择将比特币作为投资标的，才能推动加密市场迎来真正的大牛市。
